This past weekend, Jordan and I invited some of our good friends over for a pasta party! I got my pasta maker last Christmas and absolutely love using it, but it can be a time-consuming process for one or two people. So we decided to start making parties out of it! We invite friends and family over to hang out, drink wine, and make a meal together. This was our third pasta party and it’s always so yummy and such a lovely time. These particular people are part of a neighborhood parish (a smaller expression of the church) we joined a few months after we moved to Houston. They welcomed us in when we knew no one here and I’m so thankful for their friendships.
Of course I had to document all the delicious carbs and fun, and it was a good excuse to play with some new equipment I just purchased. This was pretty run-and-gun since I was also cooking and eating along with filming, but I’m so impressed with my new little Sony a7s II! Our kitchen and dining area doesn't have the best lighting, but the images still look so beautiful and cinematic. Every time I use it, I'm even more impressed with the quality and how much it can do. I'm beyond happy that I made the switch to Sony and so excited that I can document and share the fun, everyday moments like these.
